**Disclaimer** Please don't read any farther if you hate hearing mom's brag about their babies, because I am so proud of my Tater that I am about to dive into a full blown mommy bragdown.
Today at Tate's school they tested all the kids on their oral reading fluency. Since Tate is lucky enough to attend a Charter school which places kids in grades based on their ability not their age, he is in 2nd grade literacy (he is currently a 1st grader). So, back to the testing. They tested the kids based on 2nd grade levels and this is the outcome. If the child can read less than 52 words per minute they are in need of intensive help. If they can read 52-68 words per minute they are doing well but could use some interventions. If they can read 68+ words per minute they are at benchmark this means they are at or above grade level.
Tate reads 138 words per minute :)
