Happy Birthday Laney & Happy Thanksgiving

10 years ago my sister agreed that I could be in the room when she gave birth to my first niece Laney. Well as I was running down the hall of the hospital I heard the cries emmiting from the room. Oh well, maybe next time.

I fell in the love with Laney the moment that I set eyes on her. She was this tiny little babe with a whole head full of black hair. She was gorgeous and sweet and I just wanted to eat her up. Needless to say Laney is still one of my favorite people. She is still sweet, gorgeous and a so kind to my children. Hudson idolizes Laney and thinks that she is like the coolest thing ever, like totally.

WE LOVE YOU LANEY!! HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!

I am such a DORK!

I was about to email Tommy with the top five reasons why he should come home from work right now! They included:

5. Because he is hot and I really enjoy looking at him. (proof below)

4. I love having him home

3. The girls want him home

2. He is fun to be around

1. And this WAS the most important. I thought that I had found the biggest most disgusting spider in my washer and I was ultimately freaked out. I grabbed my camera, so Tommy would have proof that he needed to come be my knight in shining armor. When I pulled the picture off the camera(which had a bright flash on it) this is what I saw.

I don't care if it's only a ring, I still can't reach in and grab it :). I guess laundry can wait until my prince can leave work for real.

And Welcome Ralph

Hudsy has been sick and puking all day today. I couldn't help comparing her sick to me sick (as a little girl)

Throwing up:
Hudson keeps the puke in her mouth or pukes in her hands as she is running to the bathroom. She then goes to the bathroom quickly to dispose of the mess.
Me(little): I would sit up in bed not even attempt to make it to the bathroom and puke on everything. Including my sister if she were near by and then cry for my mom to come take care of me.

Eating:
Hudson didn't want to eat anything today. She kept telling me that when her belly calms down then she will eat.
Me(little): I would throw up then cry to my mom how hungry I was and that I had to eat. My mom, caring for me, would oblige and then I would throw up chicken noodle soup everywhere. Then five minutes later ask for food again.

Taking care of needs:
Hudson got puke on her pajamas and while I was cleaning up the mess on the floor. She went in her room changed out of her pj's threw them in the hamper and then put on new ones.
Me (little): I would sit on the couch wailing for my mom to take care of me. I basically couldn'g go to the bathroom without my mom helping me there.

The Lingo

Hudson has a vocab that is all her own:

Crowny: When something is fitting wierd like her socks are bunched or pants are too high. But mostly when her underwear is giving her a wedgie

Twaney: What her hair is like after it has been towel dried.

The Lake: When at Bear Lake with her Nanny & Papa you can only refer to the lake when you are by the lake. The house is the house and by the lake is the lake.

Girls in white dresses with blue satin sashes

So here a few of my favorite things from today:
1. A son that is so helpful (All I have to do is wake up Tate and then he):
a. showers me with morning hugs and kisses
b. gets breakfast
c. gets dressed
d. does his hair
e. comes and gets me back out of bed to take him to school (have I ever mentioned how much I am not a morning person?)

2. Tommy slept through his alarm so he got to take Tate to school today

3. Hudson fell asleep at the table today right after I put Harper down for a nap. Yea, Yea, can you say naptime for ALL the Triplett girls.

We have a loser

Ladies and Gentlemen, we have had our first official tooth fairy visit.

The best part about the whole thing was Tommy and I spending 25 minutes trying find Tate's tooth under his pillow and laughing the entire time.

Maybe suburbiaville has it perks after all

Hudson takes a "break" (read: another excuse to try and get out of eating) from lunch to use the bathroom. I am sitting on the couch in blogland. when I hear it, but what I hear I am not sure of. Upon removing myself from the couch and looking down the hall I find out that "it" is the toilet overflowing out of the bathroom all down the hall and into the bedrooms. You will have to excuse me for the rest of the afternoon while I use every towel in my house to sop up water.

These 60 year old pipes have had it with Ms. Red's 12 pounds of toilet paper she uses at each potty break (all daily 6 of them).

Let's Roll

Hudson has been very anxiously awaiting her weekend trip to the lake with her Nanny and Papa and her very favorite cousin Laney. She just said to me: "oh mom, come on let's roll to Nanny's house"

Julee Rocks!!

One of the major perks of working for a photography studio is that you can swap shoots. We were lucky enough to be able to get our family pictures done this year by Julee. She is another photographer with Lindsay Jane and she totally rocks. Check it:
Even though Harps is crying, I love this shot of Tate:

Love this baby!

This picture just cracks me up every time I look at it. I so love that Harper is in la la land off the side of the tub :)

Boy do I ever love my boys

These next shots are totally Tate in a nutshell. He is such a love bug and is so loving and patient with his DEMANDING redheaded little fireball sister.

This one is my all time favorite. Could the way the kids have their feet be any cuter? I love Tate's little laid back stance and Hudsy's hip stance. Have I mentioned how much I love these guys?

Thanks again Julee! We love our pictures :)

And Finally the Big Halloween Wrap Up

TRICK OR TREATING...
Here are the kids before the dive into sugarfest '08.

The cutest pink poodle ever. Hudsy loved this costume. She found it in a magazine and asked me everyday if I had finished making it for her. When she put on the pants she immediately had a sashay in her walk.

Buzz..buzz...buzz. Here is my favorite little bumblebee. She would even say buzz! and dance around stamping her feet. She is actually saying buzz in this picture.

And my love bug...pikacu. (funny side note) Tate was telling me about his best friend at school, Masen, that dressed up as some stars wars character with like a conehead shaped thingy. He says: Mom, at first I thought that his costume would be really cool to look at but MAN I got sick of looking at that thing.

pit stop along the way to crunch the leaves.

We ended the night at my sister's house with yummy food and more sugar! I think that the caveman may have partied a little too much :)

And numero tres

Visiting daddy at work..
Tommy's work has a huge costume contest on halloween. The grand prize was $1500. Tommy dressed up as the "Geico Caveman" He didn't win but did get honorable mention and $50. Which was pretty cool none the less. Baby Harper wanted nothing to do with Tommy she wouldn't go near him. It was hilarious.

The baby bee doing a little bumblebee dance. Doesn't she look like the bee at the end of the music video (that I can't for the life of me think of) Does anyone know what I am talking about?

Pikacu playing a mean game of air hockey with the pink poodle

The pink poodle fires back

Here is Tate doing what he does best....helping out his little sister

Festivities take two

Round two of Halloween activities.... the pumpkin carving.

Tate and I make the perfect team his favorite part is getting all the seeds out (which I try to get out of every year)and my favorite part is carving pumpkins. Together we are the upstoppable carving duo.

This just goes to prove that yes, baby Harper will eat anything.

Hudson is carving pumpkins in her best carving pumpkin outfit...her leotard. And yes baby Harper has no pants on and is still in her pajamas. That is how we roll at our house.

Hudson was a little bummed that she didn't really get to carve her pumpkin. So, we busted out the paints and she got to paint hers instead

Tate carried the pumpkins out to the doorstep :)

And the final product.
